Ya, its almost a Black Art, Sizing a Turbo. I know that Maverick with the 300 Turbo, Drag Car. He runs a Unit off a IHC 466 Diesel Truck. He twists it pretty good, & its an animal. Granted, the 6.5 GMC Turbo is a fair amount smaller. The Garrett T3, smaller yet. Its all about the RPM range you n...

Re: York Air Conditioner Bracket Pics/ Questions

I do appreciate your help. The problem is, I don't know how it is supposed to look. The compressor was hanging in an empty engine bay of a V8 pickup. I think the factory bracket mounts the compressor vertical by the engine, and fairly high up, above the power steering. However, I have only seen a c...

Re: Serious technical discussion on building a tractor like

Thought about a 6.5 CMC Diesel Turbo. From Guys that have used them, sounds like they dont have any boost below 2500? Might be sized a little large for a low speed 300 six? I think a small Holley 2V Carb. (2300 series?) would be a better choice. Everything that fits a Race, or a Blow though set-up H...

Thought about for an old look on a Hot Rod type build. Taking an early 50s IHC Valve cover,(Silver Diamond Engine) cut/fit/weld to Ford lower. OR just use as a fake cover. For your Turbo build? you dont need all that lift. I think .450-.480 lift max. make sure you use a Turbo spec. Camshaft. I know of an Isky Turbo Cycle (Flat lander Racing). Im sure there are others. Main thing is, you need a 112-114 degree Lobe separation, a must on a Turbo Camshaft.

Get the new Head. The main thing you have consider is, the thicker deck.
