That would work on a low boost, Draw through Turbo set up. Saw a 80? Buick with a complete Turbo set-up like that, @ the U-Pull it. Was gonna snag it later, missed out. :(

8Ns don't behave well when more torque is forced upon their drive train. The parts are pretty much sized to match the power of the stock flattie four. You could take the broken heat riser flap & rod out. Maybe run a threaded rod all the way out both sides, with washers & nuts to seal off the holes. The best thing to do would be fix the heat riser assy. On mine, i robbed the thermal spring off an other Manifold. It would be a judgement call...

I used my old, bad Duraspark Module to mount my GM HEI Module. My thinking was it was large enuff to act as a heat sink. It is flat, drilled & tapped 2 small bolt holes :rolflmao: . Now it has a purpose

I would look hard @ your Dist. cap for a carbon track on the inside, running between terminals. I have seen this more than a few times on a 300 six. Im sure its caused by its low mounting that gets wet alot. Also look @ your coil wire, Coil tower for corrosion.

If im understanding ya right? I think you might have a fuel starvation problem. The fuel flow (volume) to the Carb. is too low ? Restriction in Fuel line or Filter. Maybe just a weak Fuel pump ? If it drives fine till ya wind the snot out of it like that. I say test fuel flow @ Carb. first. :nod:
