Alright-- more research tells me I must have misread the metering rod number--Maybe it was "75-218" with something else that looked like a "9" after it as I can find NO metering rods for YF that have 4 digits--only 3. On that note--There is a huge amount of heat produced by EFI heads that wafts up through intake/carb--I think it is its own carb heater!!! IN fact I think I need to insulate the fuel line--it is metal tube up to the point where it crosses the valve cover then it is rubber clamped on the last 12-14" ...

could be the float has lost some boyancy- fuel saturated, it hapens with the phenolic types- and dosnt exert as much upward force, 7 is then mor easily overcome by the fuel pressure. in which case ou need a new float.
