my 65 mustang 200 6 has a autolite 1101 carb. few questions, the hole where the spark adapter should go is a dead end nor is it threaded????? the vacume port for the dist has no vacume disassembled cleaned carb, cant figure out where the vacume comes from to the port. without the gasket the port flows freely with the gasket on its totaly blocked. if some one has pics of a carb and can explain a little anatomy and physiology i would be very greatfull
thanks

Howdy:

First, verify that you have an Autolite 1101 by measureing the diameter of the throttle bore at the bottom of the carb. If it measures 1 11/16th it is an 1101. If it measures 1 7/16" it is an 1100. Which do you have?

IF it is not tapped for a SCV it is either an 1101 from a '69 250 engine, or a1100 from a '68 & '69 200. In all cases, whether 1100 or 1101, or SCV or Non-SCV, the vacuum port is in the same location on all. Sorry, I don't post photos well.

What distributor are you using?

Adios, David

thanks david, the bottom bore measured 1 7/16 so i guess its an 1100, im running stock dist with petronix, but i cant get vacuum from the carb
