I cannot find a fuel pump for this engine anywhere. Every site iv'e visited has them for the H series and the v8's, but none have the right one for the G series six. I've even ordered the other one's to see if they fit, and they definitely aren't right. Does anyone here have this engine and know where to get a pump for it?

probably, it may even work. Even still i didn't see any rebuild kits. Still I can't imagine that no one has these already rebuilt ...

An awful lot of fuel pumps since the early 50s use the same basic diaphragm and check valves. I'm talking about the ones with eight 8-32 screws around the perimeter. You may well find another brand rebuild kit that works.

The top and diaphram should be the same as the flathead eights. If the valves in your old pump are in good shape, just buy the diaphram and install it. Do you have the glass sediment bowl or not?

keefer 55 ....thank you very much! I can't believe I missed that - I ordered the wrong one from C&G too! I even saw that one, and completely missed that it said 6 Cylinder next to it.

$75 is a lot of money. The rebuild kit with diaphragm and check valves is around $20. I used one on the unit below, off an Oz six.

The rebuild kit is readily available here, perhaps because new pumps cost more.

On most flathead Ford fuel pumps the valves are staked into the top. If the valves are good you just replace the diaphram (you have to turn the pump bottom upside down to hook the diaphram on the rocker), if they are bad you need a different top. According to my friend with a '47 G sedan the pump top is interchangable with the flathead eights.
