My 1959 Ford F250 came stock with a Spicer 60 rear, and sluggish 4.56 gears. This means that I max my I6 223 at about 55-60 mph. I average about 13 miles per gallon Mad I found a gentleman who is selling a complete Spicer 60 rear w/ 3.54 gears. Both set-ups are 8 Lug. They are seemingly the exact same rear with different gear ratios. The rear that he's selling is in North Carolina, and I really just want him to ship the third member, and not the entire axle.
My question is this. Will the complete third member from his Spicer 60 fit directly with mine? Again, I drive a '59 F250, and this rear is from a 85-86 E350 Van. Any light you may have to shed on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
