Water assisted choke

My fast idle will not release, now matter how long I run the car.
I am thinking adjust the choke spring tension, if I am correct turning cclockwise loosens tension, while clockwise will add tension,,,,,
So to allow it to kick off fast idle, would I need to tighten or loosen spring tension?

You want to add tension. Loosen the three securing screws and tweak the housing to feel which way is an increase. Mark your start point first!

OK I got the fast idle kicking off now, when it cools off, I will have to see if it sets on to fast idle (the bracket for the cam to catch on was bent wrong and I had to tweak it a bit....
Now I let the car heat up good and the choke butterfly does not seem to be opening up, I had the car running quite a while, so what is my next move ?

Made a new heat tube, it all seems to be working
I fiddled with everything,
the system seems to be all working now both fast idle and choke, but it seems to be on fast idle/choked longer than I would wish the car seems warm and it still won't kick off, then a few minutes later it is off.

Is there a way to adjust when this all kicks off, or is it just something I have to accept as it is?

have done both ways a quick rev to settle it, also just let it go till it kicks off, about the same time goes by either way

Sounds like it's working good, even if it's running fast just a little longer than you'd like. You can loosen the the choke just a little bit so that it's not as tight, and it will let off sooner, but I wouldn't mess with it. Sounds great to me.
