I did some research and from what I can tell the 200 and 250 pumps are not identical. A 200 fuel pump bolted to a 250 will deliver fuel but will not cover the mounting boss completely, which will result in an oil leak. Any confirmation or feedback? I found a Carter fuel pump for the 170 Bronco that has the vacuum feature but I have a 250.
Thanks all

I know you did not ask, but at this point of time I would go with an electric. I searched 1974 200 and 250 and a GMB 5258210 fuel pump on Summit, is the same and a 1972 170. not sure if other years like the early stuff maybe different.

Yes thank you I have looked at electric fuel pumps and have not ruled that out. My 66 Bronco has vac wipers and I found a Carter M3146 pump with vacuum NOS that is the correct application for the 170 which was original to my Bronco but I am running a 250. I like that the Carter is rebuildable. But then I discovered the slight difference between the 170/200 and 250 so will look around a bit more. I looked into a vac reservoir which could be a solution to ensure better wiper performance. Then I realized that I seldom drive the Bronco in the rain so for simplicity a fuel pump with vacuum is a good solution. I would prefer a NOS Carter/Motorcraft or any other that is rebuildable as the quality of new china fuel pumps is bad and likely to get worse.

bmbm40, I ran into the same problem on my flathead Rambler. Weak fuel pump but wiper vacuum is strong. Replacement pumps nonexistent. Added an inline electric pump, still runs thru the stock mechanical pump. Working great so far.
