I've got a lot of good advice on here for this project, so I wanted to post some pictures of the results. I just finished the install today.

Here is a quick rundown of what I ended up doing with my '66 Mustang coupe:

Engine - Complete rebuild = bore .030 over, Comp 260h cam, port work in the head, 3 angle valve job, port divider, dual outlet header and exhaust from CI, Aluminum valve cover and carb hat from CI.
Compression was 95 lbs a cylinder before rebuild....it was tired. Now its 145 per cylinder and 9.7:1 ratio.
Rebuild done by Done Right Engines in N. Royalton Ohio.

Trans - Rebuilt T5 replaces the C4 auto....Figured no better time than now to make this wish come true too. Conversion parts from Modern Drive Line. Transmission bought local

Its winter here in Ohio so I haven't actually drove it(except backing it in and out of the garage a couple times as a quick test), but it seems like everything is working good. It sounds great and runs excellent.

Comments or questions welcome!

Jealous. I'm originally from OH so I'm lovin it!

Thanks! It was a lot of work but I think it will be well worth it once summer rolls around. Plus I wont be afraid to head out to the shows a little further away from home with the fresh drivetrain.

Still can't see it. What carb and ignition?

Adios, David

Huh, maybe you have a setting that doesn't allow it to open or something?

Autolite 1100 carb and pertronix ignition with flamethrower coil and Taylor wires.

Not sure what's going on with the link to Flicker for the pictures. I clicked the link several times and it goes right to the page. Any suggestions from those who post pictures on here regularly?

I just finished the same setup and want to see the pics. I have never used flickr, only imgur.com. There is also the option to add pics to a post as attachments.

I couldn't figure that out, that's why I did the Flicker album. I'll try again tomorrow can't post from my phone.

I did some messin with the posted flickr links. Found a Will Scritchfield with photo of red Mustang.... ""Will does not have any public photos yet"" : is what the site tells me

one of them is viewable "Last Show" but takes alot of clicking around. Day or so ago I began to download the app 4 the site but that began messing up my whole (antique) system. Stopped. May B if U download it it will help…. not 4 me tho.

Read & follow the updated (this Dec or Jan) how to post pic...

Still need to log in... Adult content pictures of your 'stang? Must be a super sexy ride!! :rolflmao:

I like the specs for your 66 Mustang. It is pretty much the same Mustang I would like to own someday.
In particular I have been interested in hearing how much of a performance increase an engine build like this would provide compared to stock. A cam, head work and headers with original carb. As stated your engine was tired before the rebuild but looking forward to hearing how it performs.

Yes, I'm curious to see the results on the road.

I know overall it's much more reliable now and the T5 trans should make a big difference in drivability vs the 3 speed auto.

It will be a couple months before it hits the road, hopefully sooner if the weather cooperates, but I refuse to take it out in the salt of Ohio winter.
