Hello all! Its my first post so dont kill me if i mess things up.

I have a 58 Ford F100 that is giving me hell. I need a new exhaust and intake but i cant find one. If the exhaust patterns are the same as a 300 could i use a custom header on my engine
(like this one http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stor...rn=&showValue=1&JegsPopup=ProductDisplayPopup)? Where can i get a good intake system, mine leeks badly and the car wont idle for beans. I also need to figue how to wire up the generator, 3 wires and no clue where they go.

Thanks

Do you need the whole intake / exhaust manifold set? I may be able to locate a set in Texas if nothing else works for you. The exhaust is not the same as a 300, or a Falcon six. Please give more details about the problems you are having, i.e. warped manifolds, broken manifolds, whatever.

The generator will be stamped with the letters GRN (or GRD or GND, I don't remember which) and FLD next to the two posts on the side of the barrel. The GRN stud gets the ground wire that runs to one of the mounting screws on the regulator, the FLD post gets the wire that runs to the field post on your regulator, and the post on the back of the generator is the armature post and runs to the armature post on the regulator. When installing everything it is necessary to polarize the generator. Do this by installing the field wire at the regulator last. With the battery hooked up momentarily touch the field wire to the bat wire. You should see a spark. Then install the field wire. Make sure the regulator and generator you are using are both 12V items.

Please post any more questions you have.

Fred.

I've got the stock 1 bbl manifold off of my '55 that I'll let go. Or you can buy a 2 1bbl. from an offenhauser dealer for about $200 n.i.b.(Don't buy from ebay as you won't get the linkage, and pay too much)
If you want my 1bbl manifold, PM me.
For exhaust, tube headers from sacramento ford.
