250 head on 200 -- Some basics

Will my 200 rocker arm work on a 250 cylinder head? Both are 1973 castings. And about what kind of improvement am I realistically looking at with the 250 top and headers on the bottom?

I've also been paying a little attention to some of the sticky's on the other stuff that needs done (machining head to compensatae for head gasket thickness, hardened washers to compensate for thread depth, etc.) and will probably tap you guys for more info if I puruse the swap.

The 200 and 250 heads should be identical in 1973. So...

As Wallaka said the heads should be identical. There will be no benefit to swapping heads.

If you were to get a IIRC D8 or later head it has bigger valves, hardened valve seats, and a larger volume log.

D7-up will get you the larger intake valves. I used this page when I was searching for a better head for my '68 block. Check it out for the specs of the stuff that Anlushac11 mentioned.
