Does a 250 have a removable intake manifold? or is it like the 200?i was thinking that if the 250 has a removable intake i can use it on my 200 until the fsp heads are ready,that way i can go ahead and start modifying my linkage,playing with different carbs,etc. is there any noticable hp gains by using a 250 head?

The 200 and 250 heads after 1970 are identical. The difference in CR came when the chamber size increase from 52 ccs to 62 cc, for sure after '72. I asy for sure after '72 because '69 to '72 was a period of change at FoMoCo.
All US heads have the integral cast log intake manifold.
After '75 all heads got 1.75" intake valves and 1.39" exhaust.

The 240 and 300 use a removable intake, don't get one of them!

Sorry, I missed the last part of your questions.

The answer is no, BUT- If you were to put a properly "modified" D7 or later head on a '65 or '66 200 with a C5 or C6 head, then the answer is YES!!! Stock the late model 200/250 head will give you bigger intake valves, larger intake tract volume, Hardened valve seats, and a larger carb hole.
Properly modified means;
*milled to reduce chamber volume to CR goal of at least 9:1.
*Three angle valve job,
*back cut intake valves,
*modify log to accept a direct mount two barrel carb.
*install exhaust port divider.
Given these changes with a well tuned carb and exhaust and a matched cam and ignition you will know the difference.
