what 2v bits are still made new these days and what interchanges with xflow.
these iam pretty sure do 200 rods, acl pistons crank (2 peice seal), timing chain and gears, main and b/e bearings,
lifters are same a fe big block? rockers to?
what pushrods fit?
where what valve springs fit i beleave 289/302windsor ones fit?
can you get o/s 1.75/1.5 stainless valves out here
can you get the teflon seals out here.
does anyone know how much a standerd inletmanifold flows?

The 2V used the same block as all pre crossflow 250's so everything is interchangable in that respect. The later crossflows use different pushrods, springs, valves etc so aren't much good for parts. The rods and pistons are the same though. Most gear for the early 250's is still available through your local parts store as manufacturers such as Precision Intrenational still produce the bits that wear out.
Lifters are standard VL9 type and cost around $4-5 ea, or you can have your originals refaced for a bit less. Some think the originals are better quality but after 30+ years of use I'm not so sure.
You can still get stock replacement valve springs or Crow, Sealed Power, Crane etc all make springs that fit and offer better performance.

masons make bigger valves, crow cams make stiffer springs, when i get a chance i will try and find the part number, repco sell alot of bits and pieces for them acl make gaskets pistons bearings etc for them rear main seal try and stick with the original rope seal type and not the new crap plastic one, if you need anymore help drop me a line im in melb also.

yeah i know the the pushrods rockers wont work.
just after the hipo stuff soild lifters dual rolemaster timing chain's or gear drive unsure yet.
soild lifters and what valve springs fit as most times the high perf springs are std springs of a v8 or later 6 ie 250 performance springs from crow are std ea 3.9 outer spring save over $200 there
you also whouldent know how much a 2v inlet flows ether whold you?

I've been seeing some really cool throttle bodies for SU and DCOE style intakes. I'm seriously thinking about doing a tripple throttle body injected set-up for the SU inlet I have. They are a bit on the pricey side but they aught to flow nicely...The triple DCOE TB's would probably flow even better.

This one is for the xflow, but you can get the picture...

The injection stuff is nice but consider that youll need $2500 worth of manifold etc, plus the $1200 ECU, $500 injectors, $350 fuel pump lines etc, then the tuning on top of that. An awfull lot to my mind, and why spend all that on an ancient pushrod engine when an OHC or even DOHC sixs are a much better proposition.

i cant run injection and the ports on a 2v inlet are much bigger with a much better inlet manifold manifold then a crossflow
so since i have to run a standerd inlet manifold but can be ported and the head can be ported as much as you like i will be able to make much more power from the 2v.
also cant put ohc or doch engines into earlyer cars.
it also has to have a 350 holly carby.

wont fit into earlier cars the OHC or DOHC engines? Ive seen both fitted into cortinas and early falcons... unless u talking about fitting em into minis, then...yeh see your point?

spot on xle 1974
these are rules no roller cams/cranks]
standerd inletmanifold may be modified but must use one from that engine that looks standerd on out side.
pump fuel shell 100 best at moment.
run standerd carby or 350 hooly
must use standerd cast crank block head.

the rules level the field for both holden and ford i want to tip it up with a 2v a better manifold like the holdens but the more cubes of the ford.
