350-2bbl or 500-2bbl for blowthrough 200 on E85?

I have a 350cfm 2bbl Holley that a friend gave me. He was going to run it on a 2.3L but never got around to using it.

A lot of people are telling me to go with a 500cfm 2bbl for blowthrough.

I have a log head 200 with a direct mount Holley 2bbl adapter

I don't think my engine will flow enough air to need a 500cfm 2bbl. According to the Falcon Six performance handbook calculator even with 100% volumetric efficiency and at 6000rpm redline the most my engine will use will be about 346cfm.

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

Mark.

I'd go with the 350 on a blowthrough; Actually, it may be bigger than you need.

You have to size a drawthrough carb for the increased CFM but depending on how far you're boosting it, a blowthrough will generally work with a slightly larger than stock-sized carb.

Im runnin a quickfuel 500cfm carb and its perfect...with E85 you need to run more fuel, so it might not be bad to check out the bigger carb. Quickfuel can build it for E85 for you as well!

Just paid $2.69 a gallon for unleaded regular last night.

Went by a station close to me and they have E-85 for $2.29 a gallon.
