i was thinking about putting a supercharger off a toyota 4AGZE on my 250 i dont want to run heaps of boost, just enough for a bit more hp (6-8 pounds). But my mate reckons the motor is too big and the compressed air will be too hot and i dont want to run an intercooler due to cost, so he suggested to run 2 chargers at low boost. Also i am still going to keep it a carby motor and want to keep the cost as low as possible. But any sugestions would be apreciated CHEERS!

dont wast your time there too small for the task unless you like replacing them oftern
running 2 would work but it would be cheaper to go turbo

my mate had one see post supercharged td cortina for sale
he was getting about 8-10psi and it just wasnt very stable boost it would fluctuate

he origionaly had it running 4psi but it wasnt worth the expense there wasnt a noticiable poser increase

anyway best of luck

cheers
pcman

a blower from a toyota cressida will be more for what ur after they live on the the side of a 3.0lt normaly and supply the toy 3.0lt with 8 psi so it shpould supply the 4.1 with 5 or 6 psi have a smaller pulley machined to get 8-10 psi and run a water injection set up with a hobbs swich to turn it on that should suffice.

as said b4 by pcman the mr2 blower is way to small 2 may be an option bit packageing them would be too hard to do.

cheers.joe.

im considering a similar thing for an EB 4ltr Falcon, supercharging it with a 1GGZE toyota 2ltr 6cyl supercharger. Im not expecting much with blower (around 120-130rwkws) with the standard ecu, injectors etc.

In my opinion the 4AGZE blower is way too small, as they are designed for 1.6ltr 4cyls.

mate if you only want 120-130 kwrw go for an na buildup

extractors exhaust cam ,maybe even the later model dual plane inlet there very cheap from wreckers.

can do easy besides you could always add a bigger blower on top with no changes.

i Had a similar combo on a 3l nissan and it had 117kwrw

a decent intake pipe and kn filter helps too.

just my opinion

mate i couldnt agree any more.

plus you'll find you'll gat better fuel economy as well at the 120-130rwkw mark.

a cam/bbm with a 3 inch mandrell bend pipe running from pod to throttle/a set of extractors with a good FREE flowing exhaust/some decnt plugs and leads as well should see you reach ur goals.

adding a s/c or turbo will mean that you will have to get a mod plate done as well and a positive displacement blower will also use more fuel (unless you run the factory clutch pulley) as the blower will produce a positive boost pressure at idle and just of it.

Supercharger off a Toyota Soarer (Lexus SC400?) is supposed to be OK. There is a bloke on another forum who has one on a Renault 10 racing car. It runs methanol injection on a supercharged injected 1 litre engine, but it will eat V6 gearboxes for breakfast.
