5200 "idle air corrector bushing"?

Although the car is hibernating, I'm getting anxious to get back to it once the salted roads are washed clean with spring rain. The 32/36 install went well but I never came close to solving the off-idle bog even with dramatic jet changes there was no improvement. I mentioned that I bought a 2.8V6 spec'd carb and posted it's jetting config in the earlier thread.

I've been re-reading the thread on 32/36 Jetting tips and can't get a handle on the role of the "press-in idle air corrector bushing". The picture below relates the off-idle bog and this air corrector "bushing". The thread mentions it but nothing as far as changing it or sizing is mentioned as far as I read it.

I have an assortment of the air corrector JETS I've tried with the mains but can't find info about the press in idle air corrector bushings related to tuning.

PB- please keep us posted on your progress.
My solution was to go back to my trusty Holley 1940 1V with the larger bore (1 11/16) w/manual choke for my 250. Like you, I could not get my 5200s to work on the car without the terrible flat spot on early-mid acceleration. I think my car needed more CFM flow.
Good luck!
