I will be upgrading my 63 falcon from the 170 to a 200. I installed a 200 cid head from a 65 mustang, with port divider, clifford headers and petronix ignition on the 170, but still lacks perfomance. Can anyone tell me what year 200 engine will bolt on to the 63. I also will be replacing the 2 speed ford a matic with a C-4. I also plan on bolting on a Weber 32/36 carb, & B&N Z-Gate floor mount shifter. Are these straight bolt ons?

Any comments/

Tony....

the 200 should bolt straight on
just make sure it's an early block so that it has the same type of starter placement

64 200's have only 4 main caps, so you might not want one of those. I have one in my 63 Comet, but I don't plan on hotrodding it.

My '63 has a '68 block and a '69 head (larger intake bore). I didn't do the swap, but I imagine it's pretty much bolt in, eh?

Yeah, should be a direct swap. The only visual difference between my old 170 and the new 200 was the number of freeze plugs and the PCV valve cover.
