other than the major setback I had with finding a crack in the second cylinder head ( which DVAP told me to send back, and they would refund, but that was it ), so I'm still trying to get a new 1. but anyway, I got my fuel pump ( Walbro GLS 393 ) mounted on the frame rail just in front of the kickup, and it's plumbed in to the tank with 3/8", and there is an Earls fuel filter just b4 it. also, got the fuel line almost sorted out under the hood, for the feed line anyway. I got this real tough 3/8" it's heavy duty or somthing, has a green coating, and seems to have a little thicker wall than normal 3/8", 25' roll cost $38 from Carquest. engine is in, bolted up, starter in, bolted up, fuel preassure regulator is mounted on passanger side shock tower, I pulled the fuel filler tube, so I can drill for the return line.

found a good ( Thankfully ) cylinder head at the local U Pull it. only 1 in the yard and I the car it was in, I lifted the hood, for no reason really, I thought it was a 5.0 crown vic or somthing, ended up being a 200. took head, exhaust manifold, and valve cover, all for $34.99. I don't know the year of it yet, havn't pulled that shield off it yet, I know it's at least a '77 so it dosn't matter to me. catalyst information on the valve cover says D9, but the sticker on the car said D8, and the exhaust manifold is D7. the door tag was too faded to read, so I don't know the vehicle year, but it was a Mercury Zephyr.

good find, although not the "best" for a direct mount mines worked good so far. the D8 heads are wider then te E0 is the widest.

it's a D8 head. I pulled the cover thing off that was covering it up. pulled it apart, it had been rebuilt before, and is in GREAT shape. it was a '79 Zephyr. I 'might' go back for the transmission.
