Accelerator pump adjustment

I just put a kit in a Holley 7448 350cfm 2 barrel carb. I still have the carb on the bench and need to check the accelerator pump adjustment. The kit instructions say to measure the distance with a feeler guage between the pump lever and adjusting locknut. This would be done with the throttle held wide open and the pump lever fully compressed, I believe. My question is, what should the clearance be? The instructions don't say. Thanks.

Gene,
At WOT there will be no space to measure between the adjustment bolt/spring and the pump arm.

I adj it at closed throttle and minimize the gap to nothing.
This way there is no slop between the bolt and the arm.
This minimizes the time it takes to get fuel to squirt.
But this also helped to run E85.
