Air cleaner - monte carlo clearance on squarebody falcons

I couldn't fit the "bar" in the title; I have a monte carlo bar from Delta Bay Mustang that is curved to clear the stock air cleaner on my 200 six. However, I want to get an aftermarket chrome air cleaner and don't want one of the dinky little ones. Mustangs Plus said this unit is 14 in diameter, and the stock one is 12.5.

In the tightest spot, I have about 3/4 inch clearance at the bar, but my stock air cleaner sits a bit below the bar (about half way between the top and bottom of the tube, I think) so this may work but it will be very tight. Has anyone else tried this setup, or a slightly smaller air cleaner that I don't know about? I'd be into trying a finned one, but haven't seen one on the market in the right size.

I wouldnt use this. If the air cleaner is below the bar it could cause a problem. If you lose a motor mount it will do damage. I have lost a mount before and even without the bar it did damage. Just my .02.

How would it cause a problem if the air cleaner is below the bar? if it were above then I could see that causing a problem if a mount broke and the engine dropped. thanks for reminding me I need to install my new motor mounts before getting a new head pipe installed though....
