The 200 alternator bracket is just a piece of 1" x 3/16" steel strap bent into a large "U". Twenty minutes with a hammer, vice and drill can reproduce it.
The stock 250 piece is more complex, but could be replaced with the same thing.
Thanks for the advice. Was giving consideration to that as the next step, but had one from a '67. It placed the alternator about a half inch to far forward, so I slotted both bold holes and it seems to line up. Still wouldn't mind fining an original just in case I have a problem with the modified one.
Go to the hardware store, in the garage door section. They should have the extentions or bars that actually connect the machine to the door. They are perfect for this. They are about 1/4 thick, already have holes and are about the correct length after your two bends.
well i have the lower part of the bracket i just need the upper part that makes it adjustable...i was looking at the set for the 289 and the upper bracket looks very similar you that of the 200ci...what do you guys think?
If you are looking for the top bracket Pm Mike (AZCoupe). I just sent him the last of my alternator brackets I had made. They are polished stainless steel.
