All Small Six Amazing performance after distributor recurve

This relates to all small sixes

Finally got around to installing the spring kit in my distributor.

I wish I would have done this sooner. I barely have to crack the throttle to get up to speed now.

The only weird thing I noticed is that the heavier spring was already a little loose on arm.

I still went ahead and bent it inwards slightly per the instructions.

If you're on the fence about this mod, don't wait!

thanks

- nice illustration.

If I understand right , your Distributor Advance arms have 21R and 16R stamped which allows for maximum advance with stamp X2 (Distribs' at 1/2 crank rotation) .

If correct, your distrib uses the 21R setting for maximum advance near 42 degrees at max RPM input with weights also affecting after vacuum advance is overcome ? .
.
Are weights simply RPM dependent ?.
