Over the Christmas holiday I'll be pulling the original engine out of my '66 Mustang. Lifters clatter when cold, other than that it runs great, no smoke. Put a "Pony Carbs" carburetor on a year ago. Odo shows 28K miles, and I believe that to be 128K miles accurate with the overall condition of the car. This will be complete, with waterpump, alternator, belts, hoses (tune up is about 3K miles old). I've also got the aftermarket A/C brackets as well as the original Alternator brackets. It's a manual transmission car. The head gasket has been changed at one point, doesn't look like the head was milled.
Needs to be picked up by (probably) 4 strong bodies and taken to a good home. I live in Tracy, CA. About an hour south of Sacramento.
By January first if no one wants it, I'm taking it to the scrap metal place, and that would be a shame.
don't want any money, just someone to put it to good use.
