Has anyone built a stroker 300? its already a low revving engine so it wouldn't bug ya at that level. Whats the most you can bore it out and still have a reliable engine. Whats the most cubes you can get out of the 300? Stoked bored, etc. Questions, Questions, Questions,.....*Sigh*

You can bore it over 40 easily. I'd have it checked if I wanted to go over 60.
Stroking is not really advised since it is very expensive versus the amount of power you get.
I think you would be a lot happier with an Eaton 90 supercharger. Figuring out a mount for it would be a lot easier than stroking the 300. And a lot cheaper.

Yes, Clifford did a while back, I think. 4.375" stroke, and offset ground steel crank with a Mopar rod, IIRC. 337 cubes with a +40 overbore.

Strange Ranger reminded us a while back.

Yeah, I know but it's over $1000 and the results just aren't worth it. A little boost will do the job just so much better.

execute is right clifford did it a while back and helped out with mine. one of the only reasons you night think about stroking a 300 is if you cant put an eaton in like i couldnt i have no room in a maverick. i barely fit headers in lol.by boring 50 over and using 390 std. bigblock pistons and mopar rods you can hit 341 cubes.the one thing you do get is serious grunt but you better have something behind the motor to handle the torque.floridaphatman is also right about the expense most machine shops wont touch it or have the time.i was lucky here because the shop i used they like odd projects and thats all they do is race motors.the other thing is if your going to do it make darn sure you are starting with a good block as quit a bit of block material is removed.machining just to stroke it without magnafluxing or washing was $1400.but again i would have loved to put a turbo but i was limited in room.the only other thing i can do is a sn-1000 paxton blow through but i would have to change way too much to run any boost that would be worth the while.compression right now is way too high.
so the only thing you have to think about is how much do you really want to spend and what are you looking for in that motor.
if your looking for longevity i wouldnt suggest doing it.right now i have another block on a stand when i smoke this one.but then again it wasnt built for a daily driver.how long it will last?i dont know but when it does handgrenade i will let you know.then i guess we will all have an idea of how far you can push it.

i have bored my block .60 over and have not had any problems with overheating or durability. I've reved this motor up to 5k and she's still going strong. The only thing that has happened is the head gasket blew from cylinder to cylinder once, about 15k after rebuild.
