Anyone ripped the clutch pivot off the pedal box in an XF?

I just got my Dad to weld up the pedal box out of my XF. It had obviously been done before.

I can't believe this pivot is just welded via it's tiny flange (one side only) to sheet metal. It seems a little under-engineered; a bit like the lower hinge mounting position on the doors.

Even in AU falcons, they still snap off like that... Ford just make em crap... check youre firlwall as well. AS they crack where the cable runs through

Hehehe, yeah that went first.

It wound up being just a flap of metal with the clutch cable going through.

Oh well, I suppose after 20 years you might expect that...
