For reasons non-related to cylinder heads, I will be spending a few months in Argentina beginning Sept. 24th. After 4 previous trips, I'm not totally a stranger to how things work there.

I am prepared to find, buy, and sell both Sprint and Max Econo heads and manifolds to those interested.

Max Econo heads will sell between $350-$450 and Sprint heads for around $600. Shipping runs about $300 for UPS air (3-4 day delivery time).

Keep in mind that the Sprint heads are what TC racers use in Argentina on 188 cid engines (basically, a 200 destroked with a 170 crank) to produce over 350HP naturally aspirated, with a single Weber carburetor.

A website with more info and pictures will be up soon. Feel free to email me any questions or inquiries. I would like to get a feel for demand prior to my departure for Buenos Aires.

I will also have nice forged pistons available along with the heads. More info and prices on those in a few weeks.

No offense to the OZ contingent, but I have been holding out for one of these or the max econo since I first saw them. But at a grand it will likely kill any hope of me buying one. :( :( :(

However, if (and a mighty big one at that) I were to buy one, it would have to be complete with intake and dual cast exhaust manifolds. PM me details John, who knows what I might do.

Phil,

This head is priced for it's condition, rarity, and HP potential. Max Econos will be less money. Check your PMs.

yes....I would love one of those...but can you give a round about on price?

a range?

price is an issue with me...

This is great news John.

I need to get off my @$$ and work on my SP.

where are you going to stay?? Capital Federal? if you can go to Parque Roca, near Oscar Alfredo Galvez raceway, the last saturday of every month at 3 pm you will see the Ford Falcon Club :D ,falcons from 1962 up to 1991. next meeting will be september 25...

in galvez raceway, every friday at 8 pm, you can see 1/4 mile races aspirated, turbocharged, nitrous, and there are a few falcons very modified  but there are a LOT of FIATs.....

Yayo - Yes, in Villa Ortuzar. Thanks for the Falcon Club info. I will check that out for sure. 8)

I've been to Galvez. I saw a Falcon run low 11's on all motor. :P

Update - Purchased my airline ticket today. I will arrive in Buenos Aires Sept. 24th and start filling orders promptly. The website should be ready soon.

Chaz,

I updated the original post. Cortina.... none of those in Argentina.

hi all i was wondering what kind of Argentina set ups did they use on there small V8, i was wondering because i hear alot about all the cool I6 set ups, i have 2 I6's and 2 small V8's cars

we have almost the same development in L6 as american guys have in V8.

the most historic cars in Argentina are inline six, like the chevrolet 194, 230, 250 (chevrolet chevy, 400, apache, etc) . the ford 170-187-188-221 (falcon, f100 or fairlane), the slant six (dodge coronado, polara, rt) , torino or tornado engines (OHC).

we are making aluminium heads for the ford L6 right now, i think that costs near U$S 900
