Here's a picture of my Aussie 2V intake on its way to becoming a Aussie 4V intake! Hope to have the hole cut and new 4V base plate welded this next week. I'll post a finished picture when its done!

I know the Aussie intakes are hard to find but I just couldn't stand looking at my son Jason's Aussie 4V setup, I just had to try one for myself!

Whenever you decide to give me the intake, I'll have it back to you in a few days, even powdercoated if you wish ;)

'willing' and 'can do' are 2 different things ;)

At work, with the right amount of amount of amber beverage, I can powdercoat a fleet Model A frames with a choice of over 100 colors. I choose to use that service wisely :D

At home, I can do almost anything as well with an IR lamp, but large items need to be done in sections.

Mustangaroo are you going to see a large differene running a 4v over a 2v? what cfm 4v are you planning? did little roo dyno his car yet?

I'd love to have my car dyno'd but the 1 shop in victoria that does it just closed down :( D'oh!!

Mustangroo,

Once I receive my EFI conversion, I'll send you photos. If you think 2V intakes are rare, try finding a spare SP intake.

Mustangroo,

I can't wait to see the final product. Once I receive my multi port FI conversion stuff, I'll send you photos.

DB,
Jason and I are lucky, he has a 4V and 2V Aussie intake and I still have my Chrome coated polished 2V and soon this 4V intake as well. Please do post pictures of your EFI setup and when your up this way call or stop by, maybe we could meet for lunch and BS for a while.

ruckus68,
Sorry I missed your post before. I'm not sure yet what HP gain I will get, I may use a Holley 600 cfm but not sure just yet. Your Aussie 2v setup should DYNO about 115-120 to the Wheels or about 170 horse at the flywheel. But no two engines are the same so "DO" get it dynoed as it may make even more power and you can ensure it's not running lean.

I Also have the 4v aussie conversion. I plan on gettind it dynoed on the 28th of this month so you can look for numbers there!

Yep, steppin in some, fer sure!

I also bought two of these 2V heads & intakes, so that I could go with a two and a four barrel carb. Well that explains the intakes, but two of the heads? One will be slightly shaved to perk up the compression ratio, the other one left low C.R. to run w/ some mild boost.

I'd like to see that conversion when you're done!

It's still not welded yet but that will come this week, I left the runners in the intake in, but I did grind them down by half so that the 4V butterflies don't hit when opening. I also cut off the water jacket intake and I will have that welded up. The base plate was a 1" spacer that I cut in half, I plan on installing threads in the plate before having it welded. Not sure yet if I will have it ceramic coated with the chrome finish like my 2V or just have this one polished out?

Oh you guys are so cruel destroying those rare 2v's to turn them into Frankenstein's 4v's. Why don't you just stick clevo's into the cars and let em really sing!!!
Just jokin.... Look forward to seeing the results.

I just noticed (after seeing the pic 3 times), is that a spread-bore Holley on your son's car 'Roo?

Mustang196t8, yes its a spread bore 650 cfm,
It's been running real good for him!  without vacumn secodaries and no choke!

I just droped my 4V Aussie intake to be at the perfromance coating shop today, he's going to weld the plate on top for me, and this is the Holley 600 CFM square bore I ordered tonight off ebay! It has vacuum secodaries and electric choke!
