Hey, all. I know this is kinda off-topic, but does anyone know of a good source for a windsheild (windscreen) for a '92 Ford Capri? I have a friend who owns one, made in good old Oz, that has a small crack in the windsheild. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Kinky6 8)

YOU CAN BUY THEM NEW ANY WHERE here in oz..... not sure where u will find one in the states though

DYNO, right you are on both points, I'm sure.

To be specific, I'm looking for some help in locating someplace over there that could sell my friend the window, and then be able to ship it to the states. Any suggestions?

any windcreen place where is youre mate from.. NAtinal windscreens, windscreen obrians are just a few places.. All he would need to do is look in the yello pages under windscreens. They go for around 150-200 aud fitted

You are lucky your friend is made in "good old Oz". Treat him like gold.

Seriously, get hold of "xafalcongs" NOW and see if his container is locked and loaded yet.

Option 2: Contact Mike Fielder and see when he's shipping next (as in, realistic ETA to Long Beach).

Or: PM the Evil Muffin as he plans to bring out a modest crate. Protecting it in a box of engine bits would be the biggest concern. Maybe he would sell you some room? I don't know how they secure the screens when shipping nationally.

Gents,

The little Aussie built Capri, aka Mazda 323 with a boob/lipo/nose job, was sold new in the US/Canadian markets as the Mercury Capri. Yep, same car but in LHD.

As for how he got that car here and it isn't 25 years old.......that's something he doesn't need to keep talking about or US Customs is gonna give him a call.
