Cam Bearings and More Questions :) - With Picts...

Well, I hope you guys and gals aren't getting tired of my verbose postings with picts, but I have another question.

Has anyone replaced their own cam bearings? If so how did you reach the knob to expand the extractor from inside the block? Can you reach it from underneith with the oil pan off the engine? Any advice for someone thinking about replacing the cam bearings with the engine block still in the car ('67 Mustang)?

Picts:
Front Cam Bearing... Does it need to be replacement? Oil pressure was good prior to cam removal..., but I was woundering if the axial line is a crack or if it is supposed to be there?

Lifter Galley.., Does anyone else have oil that doesn't drain like this? Some of the galleys have holes the oil drained out of, some don't

Thank You,

The groove is supposed to be there but the cam bearing material that's smashed over into it isn't. That front cam bearing is wasted in more ways than one- replace them all. My local machine shop only charges $9 to replace the cam bearings in the six, so why wouldn't you do it?

So has anyone replaced the bearings themselves and can provide some tips. I'd have a hard time finding some people to help me pull the block out.
