A few thousand dollars? I have a grand total of $150 in my LP/Turbo project so far. $105 for the LPG setup, plus $45 for the turbo. I anticipate needed to spend about $25 for piping, $60 for a turbo rebuild kit, plus a vehicle propane tank (about $100 for a used one). :)
if you are doing that for $150 and a little over twice that, just think what you could do with $1000......

I don't think I realized it could be done for that cheap. How do you find parts and stuff like that for those prices? Where? I was under the impression that turbos that quite expensive. What kind of skills do you need to try and set up that sort of a system? I don't think I would want to try it on my truck, but maybe some engine I can pick up somewhere for free. I would be too afraid that I would mess up the engine in the truck, and right now it is my daily driver. Can't afford to mess it up.
