Carb confusion

I was planing to put Autolite 1100s on an Offy adaptor but was discouraged from doing so when ordering from Pony Carb. Clifford recommeded using 3 Weber 34 ICTs. Can I get feedback on the carb of choice for this application. The 3-1/Vs will sit over 264 Cam, over sized valves and duel out headers w/ port divider.

I used 1100s with no problems with them. Lavron has used them too.

Why did they discourage the use of 1100s?

They thought they would run to lean while pulling over 500cfm. They said they would sell them to me but not set them up for this purpose. I have heard good things about Webers for tri-power. You have had good luck with the 1100s how did you set yours up?

I removed the chokes on the outer carbs, and left the automatic choke on the middle. Lavron made his center carb a manual choke. Leaning out...I don't know. I was more worried about running too rich at idle. I didn't really have any problems, but then again, I rarely rev my engine to the point it is sucking lots of air.
