I have a number of engines with carbs from '61 144 through late 70's 250 and a few spares and they are all different. I see carbs for sale and in pics that are different from the ones I have. I remember reading that some mid-70's carbs were real junk.
What is the chronology or history of loghead carbs?. How can they be ID'd, most have long lost the Al ID plates.
I bought a rebuilt glass bowl Holley at a swap that uses the collar-clamp air filter but has a bigger throat than the Fal/Com carbs. Is there a way to ID it?.
Thanx - PB 8)
