Kin of an unusual question: I would like to add a universal catalytic converter to my single 2.5" single exhaust setup to get rid of the exhaust odor.
One like this:
I have a flex pipe directly after my longtube headers, the wideband bung and then an additional hanger mounted unterneath the passenger seat. After that I got a big Flowmaster 50 series muffler, so the easiest spot to install the catalytic converter would be behind the rear axle, basically in front of the exhaust tip.
Would the cat still do it's job that far down the exhaust (less heat)?
I mean neutralizing the odor, better emissions wouldn't be necessary...
