CNG or a scam?

I keep an eye out for a great many things that may be of some use some day. Which is how I ran across these.

I have heard a few rumors of experimental bosch CNG injectors but could never find any facts. What I did hear was always about proto-type units being tested by large OEM's. The only company I know that actually makes LPG or CNG injection is Bi-Phase Fuels of Schwan's Technology Group.

Has anyone else heard of these Bosch units?
Being as the seller has no feedback and a new identity, I wonder if he isn't trying a scam to pass off gasoline injectors as CNG. Can anyone shed some light on the matter for me? Thanks!

Daimler Chrysler are at work on the CNG side. The system has a huge amount of promise. No details, but the 2002 Charger 500 was CNG powered, and they sorted out the fuel tank in that car by making it a combination of smaller circular tanks. The first problem with CNG is its short range compared to LP Gas. CNG is a safer fuel, which doesn't sink. It floats and takes roofs off, rather than taking people out.

In another 10 years it will be very common to use as an automotive fuel. The infrastructure exsits in the US to make it a big cost saver. Methane is the ideal gas to burn. It has a 130 octane ratio, likes CR's up to 15:1, and can be injected safely. The issue is not its safety or suitability, its the cost of conversion and fuel range. Impco purshcased shares in the Italian BSC natural gas company two years ago because they foresaw the demand in oil with China and the US. BSC makes makes an electronic injected CNG system for smaller four cylinder Italian cars. Impco has been making producer gas and CNG systems for 30 years, as well as LP -Gas. If something happens, it'll be on a Chrysler, and it'll be comericailly viable. It'l l be Impco, and it'll make money. The Chinese will want it. People will get rich on, um, gas!!!!

Found a little bit of info. Not for liquid injection, just gaseous. What a let down.

Bosch":2vctoq78 said:
Fuel Injector 0 280 150 842 is designed for CNG operation only. Bosch has not tested this fuel injector for permanent service using liquid fuels, therefore it is not recommended for liquid fuel control systems. Control issues may result due to internal valve group sensitivity to viscosity differences between liquid and gaseous fuels.

Still there's a part number if anybody wants it.
