does anyone make or sell brackets so that one can put the coil away from the engine like up against the wheel well area in the engine bay area???
I know of most of the pros of this can someone tell me all of the benefits as much as the liabilites of this??

i used the stock bracket and mounted mine on the inside of the fender...although the stock one only has one bolt, u can buy brackets that have two bolt holes for a more sturdy mount...although i have no idea if there are any advantages to this...i know i have acidently placed my hand on the coil when plaing with the timing because of the location, and that is definitely not a benefit

check any parts store in the chrome products isle. They're universal.

The stock '65 bracket should have 2 holes and works fine.

u can buy spark plug wire from an auto parts store and buy the boots seperately as well...if u buy a new coil, for example the MSD blaster, cause thats what i bought...it comes with 2 different boots that u can use for that so all u need to buy is the wire...instructions should come with it..but its pretty straight forward.

Cool, I used to work at advance, so I've sold many of the accel make your own spark plug kits. Is it basically the same setup?

Yup...same thing, its kinda nice to be able to change the length of the wire...but i was wondering if it makes much of a difference in the coil wire in how long it is...cause u could have the coil mounted to the firewall, or pretty much right beside the distributor...will it make any difference in the length of the wire?
