Crossflow Casting Help needed!

Hello old friends! (And hopefully new ones!)

I now the proud owner of the significant portions of an EFI crossflow.
The casting numbers on the block are:

JG31FP
6222 OC

Can anyone tell me what year this block is, and any other useful details?
Also, what parts (aside from oil pump and water pump) can I use from the US...most notably...is there a US thermostat that will work with these, or am I looking at importing that along with a gasket set, etc?

I've had most of these details before, but lost much of my research a few dead laptops ago...

Thanks!
Ben

P.S. For those that have forgotten over the many months of my absence: Project is to replace 200-6 "log head" and C4 automatic in 1979 Mercury Zephyr wagon with 250 X-flow EFI (using Haltech/Electromotive EFI and spark controls) and T-5 transmission.

Ben, the water pump will work, but the oil pump is "just different enough" to keep it from working properly, even though it bolts up.

The thermostat housing from any 200/250 will work, as will the thremostat and gasket. The Crossflow has a unique bolt on the upper t-stat housing bolt that allows you to bleed air. Not absolutely necessary, but you may have to "burp" the system if you don't use it.

Thanks Jack! And thanks also to Addo, who sent me a message with the casting number info.
Is there a list of casting info on the web? My (Aussie) Ford XF manual doesn't show the block numbers, only VIN info.
Anyhow, I'm off to sea again, but I'm excited about my "new" engine!
Ben
