I am hoping someone will know if I bought the wrong carb. I got the Holley 350CFM 2300 seriese with MANUAL choke. I have a 65 mustang 200. What is the deal with the MANUAL choke?? Need help all done with engine.

It should work fine if you fab up the correct mounting plate, it'll work even better with a header.
As for the manual choke, you'll have to obtain a choke cable form like J.C. Witney or so to rig it up.

I prefer manual over automatic choke- I hate dropping it into reverse at high idle if I'm in a hurry and the carb is not warm enough to kick the choke down a notch. I don't think the driveline likes it much either

The K-codes had a manual choke under the dash. It's available as a $60 repro, if you want fairly petty authenticity.

you can get this exact kit at checkers for $8.00 (Which is what I got by the way to solve my problem) Just cause its on ebay doesn't make it cheaper Starting bid 12.00 plus shipping...yea right

2blew2b, personal preference would be the automatic conversion. You will need the holley kit 45-223 electric choke kit. If you want to go the manual route the part # is 45-228. These numbers are right out of the holley book. Summit or jegs will have what ever you decide. Good luck on cold starts, William

sorry, but this is probably a really newbish question, but umm .. what's the difference in manual choke and electric choke? like what do they mean? with manual and electric.?

The differance is the manule choke you have to pull a cable to operated the choke, on an elect choke it is hooked up to a switched power line and the choke has a heater in it and as it heats up it shuts the choke off. the Prob with that is when your making short trips the choke has a tendency to re activate with the short time the motor is switch off.
