Hi all, my first post here, but I take it that all of youze have ford sixes, and like to tinker with them, and being so many of us, has anybody approached joints like supercheap, repco, jim mock to see if we can get a dicsount from them ???

as a former employee of marlows/supercheap they only give discount to staff, veterans and firefighters. anyone can set up a trade cod account with repco. u just need a business name, if u dont have one, make one up.

The other potential problem with getting people (as in shops) onboard is that the Forum is sort of non-profit. There's no business advertising barring a couple of members with specialist interests. But they don't spruik here, and participate just like anybody else.

My experience has been that once you start buying serious bits and pieces regularly, the prices drop to trade anyhow. The other benefit is they will order no-deposit, like a trade account, and usually call when the parts arrive. If you spend say $200 once a month on serious bits (not nick-nacks), you will end up in a pretty decent position regarding the prices you pay, what you get and how the staff treat you.

Why don't supercheap give a discount to police?

And the got their pay raise, good on em!

As for the teachers, they don't deserve thier current paychecks!

i have discovered working for a diesel company that discounts are bloody awesome!!!! through veales we have a constant 60%discount on most things we buy, coventrys is about the same too.... one parts supplier gives us about 70%!!!!!! the mark up they have is unbelievable.....

i have also learnt now that veales and covs will give trade price without any proof of having a trade account!! so now all my mates get trade prices too!
