Distributor questions, swapping to a non loado

I was wondering if the swap from a pre 65 loado would be drop in for a post 67 non loado.

My main worry is that the pertronix i have for the 65 will not swap over, parts are cheap enough otherwise and it would allow me to get away from the crappy vacuum advance on the loado, or does the post 67 also require the spark valve?

I know a duraspark 2 swap is cheap also, but how much wiring do i have to do to bypass that resistor?

My basic want for doing this is that i have a 2 barrel holley and would like to run that.
