i am thinkiing of hitting a junkyard...but dont wanna lose my cool vavle cover...if I upgrade

Yes , It should fit. Some of the later ones may have a a bracket on top of them but believe they come off.

My 200 has that damn bracket . When I replaced my Valve cover gasket It got in the way :x I was looking into getting a Chrome valve cover. Anyone know where I could get one? I have looked around but its sooo hard. maby you guys got some links up your sleeves.

Chaz,

Good old JC Whitney has chromed valve covers. As cheap as they come. Ignore the listings for the V/8's and find the little box for other engines. It'll list Ford Six there.

You can get a JCW catalog at virtually any grocery store. Actually, you can just stand there and write down the 800 number and if you can find the part number, call them with that. if you can't find the part number, just call them and tell them that you want - make sure you say 200 ci.

Just one more FYI. To make an early small-log-head valve cover work on a large log head, you'll need to grind the "eyes" on the lip of the valve cover to clear the square log ports. When you look at the valve cover lip on the log side you'll see the "eyes".

Good Luck
