Pretty much what the topic says, does anyone out there know of a good machine shop to send sixes to, or just anyone thats good.

Hi,
I live in San Ramon, and I have had good success with a local shop....Diablo Engines

I bought a rebuilt engine from them, and I felt like they dealt with me fairly, and that they delivered what they promised. I would be happy to talk with you about it more, and to know a six-enthusiast in the area. Feel free to send me a p.m. if I can give you any more information.

Warmest Regards,
Ryan

Funny, I was going to say Diablo Engine and Machine, too. They checked out a bunch of my Rover blocks and did a little bit of clean up on them. SB Ford and Chevy are their bread and butter, of course. Fair, nice guys, not crooks. Make sure you discuss exactly what you want and get quotes before they do any work, though. For crank work, there is a grinder in Hayward that all the machine shops send their crank work to. They will tell you who at Diablo, can't seem to remember his name. There are two places in Livermore as well, one is behind the NAPA/D&M parts store. That guy has done good "non-critical" work for me, like facing a flywheel, and other odds and ends. The other place forgot, over a three day weekend, about some IH parts I wanted tanked, and ended up disolving them about half away. Dummies. Panky's in Hayward is the best radiator shop around, when you get to that part of it. They've done some end tank mods on a few aluminum radiators for me.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm specifically looking to get head work done if it makes any difference.
