Well I just bought a extra intake to gasket match and the bug is starting to bite again. Jeep made a very nice equal lenght runner intake for the 4.0L in the 99s and up. Now I just want to split the plenum again.

You all know me, I'll have it done a year from now.

I don't know Jeeps, Jim. That looks like too big a hole to have a 1-bbl carb over it; was it some kind of throttle-body fuel injection system similar to that Vari-jection that Holley used to sell?

That is a stock 99 and up EFI intake. All 4.0L Inline 6 jeep engines got that intake after 1999. The stock throttle body is about 2.25 inchs in size.

The reason I was wanting to split it is because the factory Hp peak is at 4600Rpm and TQ peak is at 3200Rpm.
I am wanting to drop the peaks to a slightly lower RPM.

You'd need to split the T/B as well. A 1-v T/B would kill whatever benefits you'd gain by dividing the MF. Fortunately, we all know where to get twin-choke T/Bs. The only real problems would be working out the throttle linkage (easy) and the electronics (unknown.) If you're real lucky, the Ford TPS would be a straight splice-in for the DCX version.
