I'm in need of a radiator for my 74 Maverick with the 250...I'm not sure if should get the stock replacement 2 row brass from autozone for $159 or give this one on ebay a try... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/All-Alum ... enameZWDVW

The description lists this radiator as being a 1 row...would that be sufficient? I noticed MercuryMarc posted a similar question but that post was never updated as to whether or not he got the radiator after all

thanks a lot guys...

8) for me i tend to stay with the copper brass radiators, and i prefer spending a bit more for a three row radiator as i prefer to have excessive cooling capacity where i can. that way i can control the engine temps better with the thermostat.

Hi Josh-
I think that if your 250 engine is stock and not having any cooling problems a brass replacement will be fine. I had to go with a rad that had more cooling capacity since the 250 rad is about 4 inches wider than the 140-170-200 rads used in the Comets/Falcons/Early Mustangs (these rads are about 16 inches wide and the 250 Comet/Maverick s more like 20 inches). So since I had a 250 in my 63 Comet with a smaller rad I had to get more rows and a more efficient (Alum) rad to fit in that smaller 16 inch space.

So I think I'd just get a replacement brass rad the fits your 250 and is stock.

That's my 2 cents....

Good Luck!

The stock replacement radiator I got at Advance was a 3-row. Something like 130 bucks.

and we price match  so if you find it cheaper at any of out competitors with the same warrenty well match/beat it. It comes down to the manager on duty as to whether theyll price match online prices but you have to include shipping, most of the time they wont though.
