Im piling all the parts together for my dual exhaust and in another forum i use a guy was sayin how mufflers like the dynomax super turbos and flowmaster 50s were to big a muffler for a 6, it would sound tinny without resonators and just mufflers and that i should be going with stock dual exhaust with tailpipe resonators. does anyone have any comments on that?

Whoever said a 50 series is too much for a 6 doesnt have any experience with em then huh? I love my 50's, they sound mean! If you dont want to sound mean, then by all means, dont get em, lol

Both dynomax and flowmaster have turbo mufflers designed specifically for the 170/200/250 Ford engines. Check the application on Summit's web site. Oh and performance is more important than sound quality. When I see a car with a fart can I wonder who the owner is trying to impress.

Wonder no more, Don. They're trying to impress the other 16 year olds. :)

I have found a DynoMax Super Turbo muffler that has the input and output on the same side that would allow it to be mounted in the stock location in a single exhaust system. Its available for 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" pipes.

Well...when I looked at mufflers, I went to a mustang performance shop. I told the guy my plan...and he said 40s wouldn't be loud at all, and that 50s I would hardly hear because I had a 6 cylinder. So at least I know I will never take my car to him. the 50s are plenty loud, and have a nice note to them.
