What are you guys using for your engine bay bracing?

I’m lucky enough to have ordered a new VI head and I’m not sure if my current curved Monte Carlo bar will still fit (I also don’t like how it blocks the oil fill). Photo attached.

Thinking of upgrading to something like this https://www.cjponyparts.com/total-c...e-adjustable-aluminum-1965-1970/p/TCPPKGTWRB/, although I’m not sure if it will work with the new head, and also my power booster+dual master cylinder.

I don't have the VI head or intake installed yet but made my own bar after seeing that neither the stock curved nor straight bars cleared the air cleaner. I cut up a curved bar and a straight bar (I already had both here) and welded them together.

Where’d you source the parts? I like the tapered centre link bar.
This is a nicely priced kit I didn’t know existed:

Actually found your post on another forum listing where you can get them

I like this one.

I think most Monti Carlo bars produced mount to the inner fender with at least 4 bolts. It’s the cowel brace that usually mounts to the shock tower. Better? Probably. But also probably over kill for street cars. And any extra bracing is better than nothing 👍

He makes an export brace also or one can be fabricated up easily.
