Ford 200 dual outlet header exhaust options

Hey everyone. I just got the header installed on my 200 in a 1963 falcon. Just wondering what everyone else is doing for their exhaust. Thought about adding a y pipe and going with 2.50 single exhaust but also thinking about just running duals. And pictures would be appreciated. Thanks20201128_115155.jpg

Welcome aboard. I will post photos of my setup later.
I have dual collectors going to a X pipe then out via 2" pipes.

I'm sure you will get many replies.

I was thinkin of using Matt's (he was an exh guy for yrs) stainless Y & tuckin a very small Midas 'going out of business' muff way up hi, comin out thru the rocker in frnt of the rear pass's tire. This is on an off-rd-vehicle tho & may havea heat shield for the passenger's feet (no rug allowed on this) and an odd double tail pipe thingie (a` la):

If you want to keep an exhaust simple, 2" pipes and muffler probably offer the most options. Simple pre-formed (mandrel bends preferred) tubing can be used with your 'choice' of mufflers and resonators. (Frame connector clearance can add another issue }

'Flex' sections after collector and sufficient resilient hangars are recommended for helping keep torque-twist from separating welds and couplings. Removable SS 'Band Clamps" enable R & R clearance for tranny etc work .

I use a two OEM muffler - dual out header setup on my daily driver for ultimate quiet cruising , (which should halve the OEM backpressure'.)

My personal preference is 'Smithy" mufflers for minimizing the dreaded six drone and still provide the desired performance sound. ( Helmholtz resonator: think the resonance when blowing across the top of a bottle - different sizes have different resonant frequencies...)

have fun

"...and going with 2.50 single exhaust but also thinking about just running duals..."
convenience, cost, performance, diameter, etc, etc.
Like ANY automotive Q the answ is all ways in the application answer...
Y not detail it out for our assistance.
What are you actually working toward, as specifics out /get/ specifics back~

Thanks guys. Those are some sweet setups. Sorry I didn't mention but I've just got a stock 78 200. Don't plan to do much, probably just a 2v conversion with adapter and maybe a cam in the future. Nothing crazy.

w/the headers I would havea 'port divider'. Doing so is not a performance increase, I did it for the gasket support & diversion of gases into the CI dual outs I have ona bronk (250/4.1). The pipes on a mild build 2v could be: the 2 hook ups to 1.75 inch, 2 resinator &/or 2 turbo muff, to the bumper. Ever C the H2O drip offa ex tail pipe? Lota moisture there. In a cold climate I'd go w/the hook ups inta a Y, one 2.25 inch pipe, 1 resinater &/or 1 muff, back to bumper to avoid rustin up ur system (less stuff to pay 4, maintain too) . I sometimes drill a tiny 'relief hole' at the lowest point to drain/make more durable. Am currently playin w/a very short system on the bronk. Nuttin wrked out yet but those R my additional thoughts...
