Ford flathead 6 (g series)

I would like to know how many flat head 6 cylinder (g series) engines are remaining in use? I would think most of them were melted for scrap since the V8 is so popular.

That could be time consuming to figure out you would have to have access to all the DMV registration records for all the states. Then many that were used in trucks such as farming, construction were used off hyway so they maybe we're never licensed, also many were also exported (new and used) to many other country's. They are still out there though!
