Fuel Pump Relay Bypass

'Tis me AGAIN,
Is it advisable to bypass the fuel pump relay? The efi junker I bought won't start and I've traced it back to the pump supply wire not having power, though there is power to the relay etc. can i do it? Or should I wait to go and buy one? I only want to get it off the road into my yard. Any advice appreciated!!

If you are only driving into the backyard then hook up a straight twelve volts to the pump through a switch.
Then fix the problem before it hits the road.

The relay is timed and is the fail safe. I the engine stalls it wont keep pumping fuel.
