Fuel Pump?

Had my mustang idling in the driveway and it just died.Go to start it,turns over but not starting.Have an inline filter,checked it and very clean.
Has never happened before.Does it sound like the fuel pump?Have always had a hard time starting if left for a few days.

Did you pull the air cleaner and work the throttle to see if the accelerator pump is squirting gas down the carb throat? Or you could bring hose from pump into a can or jar to check volume of the fuel pump.

My neighbor toldme to do the can thing and try turning over but have not yet.I took the line off the carb and there was no gas in it but the tank is full.Alao there was very little gas in the hose from the fuel pump.

Do you have spark?

A little squirt of gas or starting fluid down the carb throat will tell you if its fuel or spark.
