I've been off work for the last 5 weeks and continue to be off for another 3 1/2 weeks until the doctors release me to get back into the truck and drive again.
That said, this week I have been working on the Mav, getting the pre-ignition ping out of it and today readjusting the valves.
Just for fun, I put a vacuum gauge on the intake port and had a very study 18 inches of vacuum at idle. Then for the fun of it, I checked the oil, nope none used. The car when I bought it, was in rough shape, if it ran for 50 miles straight, I thought it was great. Now with the help I've gotten off this site, the 250 is a great engine. The body is still a little rough, but the suspension and drive train is in excellent shape.
